Cheryl Diaz
PARTNER
Cheryl has extensive experience helping out those in the Spanish-speaking community. She speaks directly with clients and represents them in all aspects of their case. She has negotiated hundreds of personal injury cases and has experience fighting for the smallest and largest cases.
Joshua Madson
FOUNDING PARTNER
One of Madson & Madson’s founding partners, Joshua’s practice focuses on all aspects of personal injury law. Joshua believes that negotiation provides the most cost-effective and, often, least disruptive route to reaching settlement, but believes that litigation is often a necessary tool for reaching his clients’ goals.
Joshua has a diverse international background. His varied travels have left him fluent in three languages, including English, Spanish and Portuguese and has extensive experience representing clients who require Spanish-speaking counsel.
Emily Makin
ATTORNEY
Ms. Makin graduated from Brigham Young University’s, J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2011. Her legal studies included a semester with the Paris Summer Institute, which is cosponsored by Cornell Law School and the Sorbonne Law School at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
She has been practicing since 2011 with practice areas including personal injury, family law, property law and general civil litigation. Prior to her work at the firm her experience includes: NCAA Legal Compliance, Human Resources and externing at the Utah Attorney General’s Office.
In her free time, Ms. Makin enjoys traveling, floral design, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Jasmine Gonzalez
PARALEGAL
Jasmine Gonzalez recently moved to Utah from California after graduating from California State University, Fullerton. She has been working with Diaz & Madson since July of 2016. She provides a supportive role in various aspects of file management including day to day administrative tasks, gathering and analyzing medical and wage loss documents, instructing experts, and communicating with clients and related parties. On a personal note, Jasmine is also an artist who works with traditional and digital media. She enjoys reading, running, and the outdoors in general.
Ron Madson
Founding Partner (Retired)
One of Madson & Madson’s founding partners, Ron’s practice focused on all aspects of personal injury law. After nearly forty years of legal practice, Ron is now retired and spends his time enjoying the beauty of Alpine and Utah County.
